State Minister for Home Affairs Abdulla Mohamed dismissed again

Abdulla Mohamed (Madhanee Abdulla Mohamed) has been dismissed from his post of Minister of State for Home Affairs again.

President’s Office said that Abdulla Mohamed was dismissed yesterday, but did not give a reason.

Abdulla Mohamed was also dismissed on 20 January, but President’s Office withdrew this decision before the letter of dismissal was delivered to him.

Sun Online has received a copy of the dismissal letter sent to Abdulla Mohamed by President Yameen Abdul Gayoom yesterday.

The letter, which does not give any reason for the dismissal, states that the president has, with reference to the powers of the president prescribed in Article 115 (f) of the Constitution, dismissed Abdulla Mohamed from the post of Minister of State for Home Affairs.

The president thanked Abdulla Mohamed for his services as Minister of State for Home Affairs.

Abdulla Mohamed refused to comment on the matter, and said that he will continue to support the government despite the dismissal from this political post.

A senior official of the government said that Abdulla Mohamed was dismissed because he intends to contest the Parliament Election for Nolhivaram seat on Jumhooree Party (JP) ticket.

Abdulla Mohamed did not get the JP ticket for Nolhivaram, following which he has left JP and joined Adhaalath Party to run for Nolhivaram seat on Adhaalath Party ticket.
