President nominates Zahiya Zareer as High Commissioner to Sri Lanka

President Yameen Abdul Gayoom has proposed former Minister of Education Zahiya Zareer as the new High Commissioner of the Maldives accredited to Sri Lanka, for approval by the parliament.

Zahiya has also held the post of Minister of Gender, and several senior posts at Education Development Centre.
