EC opens application for parliamentary election observers

Elections Commission (EC) has called for applications for those individuals and groups who wish to observer the March 22 parliamentary election.

EC announced today that observers must be above the legal age of 18, must not be discharging a criminal sentence, and that NGO observers must not be registered in a political party.

Applications must be submitted to EC headquarters in Male’ or to the Elections Units in the atolls before 4:00 p.m. on 13 February.
