Coalition’s parliamentary ticket for Komandhoo constituency has been awarded to former member of the Maldives Broadcasting Corporation (MBC) Nahula Ali.
Nahula was given the ticket through Jumhoory Party (JP). She said she was informed of winning the ticket in the presence of the other two members who had applied for the ticket. She said her candidacy forms were signed yesterday.
Nahula has a Master’s Economics and Political Science and is the only woman fielded by JP for a parliamentary seat. Nahula was also a member of the governing council of the ruling Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM)
