Minor, young man stabbed in Male

A young man and a minor have been stabbed in the capital Male’ tonight.

Police media official said the young man, a 18-year-old, was stabbed near H. Yagoothuge by men on two motorcycles. In a separate location, the 17-year-old minor was stabbed near ACE Hardware. Both stabbings took place simultaneously around 8:00 p.m., police said, but did not reveal whether the stabbings were coordinated attacks.

Police further revealed that both victims received minor injuries and that they were transported to Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) for treatment.

In another incident in Male’ this evening, a 18 year-old-man was stabbed near Marrybrown in Boduthakurufaanu Magu. The suspected perpetrator was arrested from the scene.
