STELCO receives new MD

Privatization and Co-privatization board has appointed Hassan Mugnee as the new Managing Director of State Electric Company (STELCO).

Mugnee told Sun that he was appointed to the MD post last Thursday. Prior to his appointment, Mugnee held the post of Marketing Manager at the Male’ Water and Sewerage Corporation (MWSC), the capital’s state owned utility company.

Hassan Mugnee holds and Bachelor’s Degree in Finance Management and Marketing and a Mater’s Degree in International Business. He has also held senior posts at government companies such as the COO position at the Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC).
