Jumhooree Party has requested Male’ City Council to release the empty space on the south side of State Trading Organisation (STO) to them for a period of one year.
In a letter sent to City Council by Jumhooree Party Spokesperson Moosa Rameez, they requested for the release of the empty space on the south side of STO to Jumhooree Party for one year – similar to the release of Raalhugan’du area to Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP).
Moosa Rameez said today that this request was made because the party is facing difficulty in terms of space in holding political activities. The new space will be used for party meetings and campaigns.
Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM) has also requested Male’ City Council to release Artificial Beach area to them until the end of November. This letter was sent to Male’ City Council by PPM Interim Vice President and Fonadhoo MP Abdul Raheem Abdulla last Thursday.
PPM had requested for Artificial Beach for a period of one year, eight months and two weeks.
City Council has released Raalhugan’du area to MDP to hold their political activities from 17 February till the end of July. Subsequent to the fall of Nasheed’s government, all of MDP’s political activities are held in this area.
