The car of PPM Council Member and Un’goofaaru MP Dr Afrasheem Ali was attacked last night, with the attackers breaking its window.

Police said that a report has been received, that Afrasheem’s car was attacked by protesters near Galolhu Stadium at around 10:00 last night. Afrasheem was on his way home. The Police are currently investigating this matter and no arrests have been made.

“Afrasheem reported the case when he reached home. He said that his car windows were broken by protesters on Majeedee magu,” a Police official said.

Further information could not be obtained from Afrasheem as his mobile phone is switched off. At the time of the attack, dispersed groups of MDP supporters were protesting in different parts of Male’ simultaneously.

Last Friday, the car of Judicial Services Commission (JSC) President and Supreme Court Judge Adam Mohamed was also attacked by protesters near Republic Square while he was on his way home from Friday prayers.
