Police, political parties discuss council election

Maldives Police Service has met with representatives of political parties at Iskandar Koshi yesterday to encourage peace and calm during the Local Council Election scheduled for Saturday, 18 January.

During the meeting, police informed the parties that the election operation will be conducted under the directive of the Elections Commission. Police also shared details of the operation and urged the parties to ensure that peace and calm are maintained throughout election day.

The meeting was conducted by Head of Male’ City Police, Superintendent of Police Abdulla Shareef.
