Hope for Women concludes leadership camp for girls

Local NGO Hope for Women has concluded a 4-day leadership camp for girls between 16 and 19 years of age.

Titled “Hope for Women’s leadership camp for girls”, the camp was conducted in Bandos Island Resort from 3rd to 7th January and saw information and discussion sessions on domestic violence faced by women, in addition to obstacles and opportunities for women in today’s work environment.

Director of the camp said that it was a successful camp and that all objectives were achieved. A participant described the camp as “very important.”

“We realized during the camp that women can hold important jobs, that we have the opportunities in the work arena,” the participant said.
