Five more arrested over Hussain Waheed murder

The police have made five more arrests in relation to the murder of Hussain Waheed of Ma. Aisha.

Police said that the new arrests include three minors.

Head of Police Serious and Organised Crime Department, Chief Inspector of Police Mohamed Dhaaoodh said that details on this case will be shared with the media as soon as the investigation is completed.

The police earlier arrested a 26-year-old in relation to this case.

22-year-old Hussain Waheed died while undergoing treatment at Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) after being stabbed on 24 December 2013 at around 10:45 p.m. near Coffee Corner.

Shaaz Shareef of Ma. Raalhuarige, who was with Hussain Waheed at the time, was also stabbed; but Shaaz Shareef did not suffer any serious injuries.
