Coalition candidates must be elected to facilitate development: MP Siyam

Leader of Maldives Development Alliance (MDA), Meedhoo MP Ahmed Siyam Mohamed has said that candidates representing the government coalition must be elected in the upcoming Local Council Election and Parliamentary Elections, in order to facilitate development for the country.

Siyam said this while speaking at a function held in Dhaalu Kudahuvadhoo for President Yameen Abdul Gayoom, who is visiting the island, to address the people.

“Development can only be brought about by voting for councillors who want development for the country, who are not ignorant,” he said.

He said that President Yameen is the first democratically elected president of the Maldives, and that President Yameen will bring about peace and development for the country over the next five years.
