Car set alight in Gan

A car has been set alight in Laamu Gan, less than four months after it was purchased.

A resident of Gan told Sun Online that the Nissan March was set alight at around 4:30 a.m. while it was at the garage in Kanduroalhi house in the island.

“It’s a brand new car; it was brought to this island about four months ago. It’s used as a family car,” he said.

He said that the car belongs to a businessman from Male’ who lives in the island.

The owner was not available for a comment at the time of press.

No one was hurt in the incident.

The p case is now under police investigation.
