Willing to support current administration in any way possible: Dr Waheed

Former president Dr Mohamed Waheed has today called on President Yameen Abdul Gayoom.

The meeting was held at the President's Office this afternoon and participated by Vice President Dr Mohamed Jameel. Speaking at the meeting, Dr Waheed assured the President that he will support the current administration in any possible way and congratulated the President on his inauguration and winning the presidential election.

President Yameen commended and thanked Dr Waheed for his services during his time in office, especially for prioritizing the interests of the nation in difficult circumstances. He also thanked Dr Waheed for continuing as president until a president could be elected, after the constitutional deadline had passed. President Yameen assured that his administration will extend due respect and honors to the former president.
