Maldivian family involved in accident in India discharged from hospital

The four members of the family who were earlier involved in an accident in India have been discharged from the hospital, the family has informed.

The group that was injured in an accident on Monday while on their way back after visiting the Taj Mahal, are Aminath Shirmeena and Ibrahim Ahmed, and their four-year old daughter and three-year-old son.

A friend of the family who travelled to India following the accident told Sun Online today that the son, Mohamed Shammoon, whose ear was torn in the accident, has also been discharged from the hospital after an operation.

The group was treated in four hospitals in India following the accident, the last one being Global hospital in Bangalore.

The accident took place about 400 km from Bangalore when the family's van collided with a gas tanker. The Indian agent who was on the van with the family died in the accident.
