President returns from private visit to Singapore

President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom and First Lady Madam Fathimath Ibrahim Didi have returned home after a private visit to Singapore.

The President concluded the three-day visit and returned to Maldives last night (Saturday).

President Yameen is set to visit India on 22 December, his first official visit abroad since inauguration. The trip is in reply to an invitation extended by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.
