Vice President Dr Mohamed Jameel Ahmed has said that several issues worrying parents and guardians regarding the school system would be resolved in time for the new academic year.
The Vice President made this remark while meeting the local media on Friday, following a visit to some households in the Galolhu area.
Highlighting the importance of providing Islamic upbringing for the younger generations, Dr Jameel said that starting next year, Quran and Arabic language would be included as subjects in the academic curriculum in all the schools.
Vice President Jameel further assured that he would continue these visits to the local neighborhoods, and noted that today’s visit had helped him identify where the people’s main concerns lie; especially those regarding the country’s health and education sectors.
