Maldivian suspends flights to Sri Lanka

National airline Maldivian has suspended its flights to Sri Lanka due to low demand.

This was confirmed to Sun Online today by Head of Administration of Island Aviation Services Ali Nashath, who said that the operation of the route Gan-Male’-Colombo has been suspended due to lack of demand.

“We don’t get too many bookings, so the Board has decided to suspend these flights. This is temporary,” he said.

Gan-Colombo one-way ticket on Maldivian was priced at $149, and return ticket at $269; and Male’-Gan one-way ticket was priced at $99, and return ticket at $169.
