Four people treated after near-drowning incident in Giraavaru

Four people have been treated in the hospital after they almost drowned outside Giraavaru resort in Male’ atoll.

Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) Media Official said that two out of the four people are in serious condition. He did not give more details.

Police were alerted on this incident at around 2.45pm today. Police Media Official Ahmed Shiyam said that the four people consist of three tourists and one Maldivian, and that no person is seriously injured.
