Z-DRP opens office in Mal

Z faction of DRP has opened an office today in Malé on the occasion of its sixth anniversary. The office was inaugurated by Mr. Umar Zahir, a former minister in President Qayyoom’s cabinet. Former president Maumoon Abdul Qayyoom also participated in the event.

President Qayyoom said that the office will facilitate the opportunity for himself to meet the members of DRP easily. Qayyoom said that lot of people from Malé and the islands ask for his appointments. “Lot of people from Malé and the islands want to meet me. But it was very difficult to arrange such meetings since there was no place appropriate for that.” said Qayyoom.

President Qayyoom has thanked the people worked to establish the office. Qayyoom also thanked Mr. Umar Naseer and Ilham Ahmed for their role in establishing the office.

Z-DRP will be organizing further more events on the occasion of DRP’s sixth anniversary. DRP was registered as a political party on 21st of July, 2005.
