No-confidence motion filed against Prosecutor General

Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) has filed a motion of no confidence against Prosecutor General (PG) Ahmed Muizzu.

MDP parliamentary group leader MP Ibrahim Mohamed Solih confirmed today that the motion was filed Wednesday.

The prosecutor general said the parliament will not reach a vote on the motion. “Parliament floor will not conduct a no-confidence vote against me,” Muizzu said.

MDP has also filed a motion of no confidence against Attorney General Azima Shakoor, tabled for Monday.
