Tourist dies while out snorkelling

A female tourist has died while snorkelling near Kudavilingili, an uninhabited island near Kaafu Thulusdhoo.

A senior official of Thulusdhoo Health Centre told Sun Online that the tourist was dead when brought into the centre at around 3:00 p.m. today.

He said that the likely cause of death is drowning.

Vice President of Thulusdhoo Council Ibrahim Ziyad said that she went snorkelling with her husband.

Sun has come to know that the deceased is a 33-year-old Korean tourist.
