Abdul Azeez Yoosuf retires after 43 years of service to the government

President Dr Mohamed Waheed has presented a letter of appreciation to Abdul Azeez Yoosuf following his retirement.

Speaking at a ceremony held at the President’s Office this morning to handover the letter of appreciation, President Waheed thanked Abdul Azeez for his 43 years of distinguished services to the government.

President Waheed expressed his confidence that Abdul Azeez Yoosuf would continue to serve the state and the country.

Abdul Azeez Yoosuf began his service to the government on 19 December 1968.

Posts held by him include Secretary at the Prime Minister’s Office, Manager of the Department of Shipping, Deputy Minister of Home Affairs, Housing and Environment, Deputy Minister of Atolls Development, Atoll Chief for Noonu Atoll, Senior Under Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Director International Organisations at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, High Commissioner of Maldives to Sri Lanka, and High Commissioner of Maldives to India.
