EC allowed only two members to access list, for fear of being exposed: JP

Jumhooree Party (JP) has said that the Elections Commission (EC) decided to allow only two members of JP to view the voters’ list of the first round of the presidential election, for fear of their fraud being exposed.

JP said this in a statement published today.

“Jumhooree Coalition is of the opinion that, the Elections Commission decided to allow only two members of Jumhooree Coalition to look through the voters’ list containing more than 211,000 names within just two hours, for fear of their election fraud being exposed.”

In the statement, JP repeated their claim that the votes of the first round of the election had been rigged.

JP has filed a case to court requesting to nullify the results of the election. At today’s trial on this case, the Supreme Court requested the Elections Commission to present the voters’ list to the court.
