Two apprehended in relation to attack on 21-year-old

The police have arrested two people on suspicion of attacking a 21-year-old man in Maaveyo Golhi at around 10:30 pm on the night of 21 August.

The suspects are Shifan Zufrath, 18, of H. Rozendale; and Hassan Shifaz, 23, of Dream Girl, Fuvahmulah.

The police said that Shifan Zufrath was arrested under a court warrant in Adi Park at around 8:30 pm last night during a special operation in search of him.

Hassan Shifaz was arrested under a court warrant in his home at around 11:00 pm last night, said the police.

This case in under investigation by the Maldives Police Service Serious and Organised Crime Department.
