Case sent to PG Office against four, for causing damage to state property on 8 Feb

The police have sent a case against four people to the Prosecutor General’s (PG) Office, for attacking security officers and causing damage to police and military property in Haa Dhaalu Kulhudhuffushi on 8 February 2012.

The four suspects are Mohamed Hussain, 20, of Nasfaru, Haa Dhaalu Kulhudhuffushi; Ahmed Ali, 40, of Dhanbuge, Haa Dhaalu Kulhudhuffushi; Ibrahim Ali, 42, of Kasthoorige, Haa Dhaalu Kulhudhuffushi; and Ibrahim Ahmed, 20, of Thila Asseyri, Haa Dhaalu Kulhudhuffushi.

The police said that they have been accused of having gathered outside Kulhudhuffushi Police Station, warned police and military officers, and attacked police and military officers using iron rods and stones.

In addition, they also threw iron rods and stones and damaged the police station and military post, said the police.

The case was sent to the PG Office on 5 August.

The police also said that the four suspects have criminal records, of drug crimes, theft, and working in gangs on the streets to cause damage to public and private property.
