Chief magistrates appointed to three courts

Chief magistrates have been appointed to three courts today.

Letters of appointment were presented at a ceremony held by the Judicial Service Commission (JSC) today, to Ahmed Shareef as chief magistrate of Kaafu Gaafaru Court, Moosa Naseer as chief magistrate of Alifu Alifu Feridhoo Court and Mohamed Zahid as chief magistrate of Baa Dharavandhoo Court.

At the ceremony, the oath was administered by Supreme Court Judge Abdullah Areef, following which the letters of appointment was presented to the new chief magistrates by Supreme Court Judge Abdullah Saeed.

Moosa Naseer and Mohamed Zahid, prior to being appointed as the chief magistrates of Feridhoo and Dharavandhoo courts respectively, held the post of deputy state attorney at the Attorney General’s Office.

Today’s ceremony was attended by President of JSC Adam Mohamed Abdullah and other officials of the commission.
