ACC removes four names from flat recipients

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has removed four names from the list of flat recipients in category C under the Veshifahi Male’ program, and decided that flats should not be given to those four parties.

The four names removed from the list, in relation to a case filed to ACC accusing Ali Zahir, an employee of the Veshifahi Male’ Office, of giving flats to his wife, sister, brother, and another woman, are Ali Ahmed (Dhaftharu 4933), Siththi Manike (Dhaftharu 4093), Sanfa Shahid of Veyoge in Thaa Buruni, and Aishath Guraisha (Dhaftharu 5683).

ACC said that Ali Ahmed was removed from the list because he filed forged documents along with the documents submitted to prove that he resided in Male’.

Siththi Manike was removed from the list because, while she got 325 points, the forms submitted by her included false information; Sanfa Shahid was removed from the list because she filed forged documents; and Aishath Guraisha was removed from the list because her forms included discrepancies, and because she did not include the fingerprint of the owner of the house, said ACC.

ACC further said that cases have been filed to the police against the parties that gave false information to Veshifahi Male’ Office, and that the commission was further investigating the actions of the people who tried to confer undue advantage on particular groups.
