National Awards to be conferred on 22 August

The President’s Office has said that the special ceremony to confer the National Awards of Honour, the National Awards of Recognition and the National Awards for Special Achievement will be held on 22 August.

The President’s Office said in the statement that unlike other years when the National Awards are given during the official ceremony held on the occasion of Republic Day, this year, the awards will be given during a ceremony held to mark the Independence Day.
