Maldivian commences flights between Gan and Colombo

Maldivian has commenced flights between Seenu Gan and Colombo, Sri Lanka.

A ceremony was held at Gan Airport at 19:30 today to mark the commencement of flights between Gan and Colombo.

Head of Administration of Maldivian Ali Nashath told Sun that from today onwards, Maldivian will conduct flights on Friday and Monday from Gan to Colombo

He said that the price of a one-way ticket is $149 while the price of a return ticket is $269.

“We will focus not only on Addu; we will also arrange connections for passengers who wish to travel to Colombo from Gaafu Alifu Kooddoo, Gaafu Dhaalu Kaadedhdhoo and Fuvahmulah as well. That way, it will be less expensive for them to travel directly from Gan, instead of first traveling to Male’ to travel to Colombo,” said Abdul Haris, managing director of Maldivian.

Maldivian has also decided to conduct flights to Saudi Arabia to take people for hajj this year.
