Assault in Male' leaves man injured

A young man was attacked and injured in an assault in Male' last night.

Police said that the attack took place near Hiriya School around 12:18 a.m. last night and that the person injured, a 32 year man, was attacked by a group while he was standing near the school.

He had suffered head injuries and was taken to Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH), police said.

Police are trying to catch the people involved in the assault.
