The price of jet fuel sold at Ibrahim Nasir International Airport (INIA) has been increased by about 61 laaris per litre.
Airport operator Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) said in a circular dated 31 July that from 1 to 31 August 2013, the price of jet fuel would be $1.10 per litre for international operation flights. Previously, the price of jet fuel per litre for international operation flights was $1.06.
MACL also said in the circular that for domestic operation flights from 1 August, the price of jet fuel would be $1.09 per litre. The previous price of jet fuel per litre for domestic operation flights was $1.05.
This change by MACL means an increase in the price of jet fuel per litre of approximately 61 laaris for international and domestic operation flights.
MACL said that jet fuel will be sold at the new price only to customers who settle the payment immediately upon receiving the service.
Jet fuel prices have been increased by MACL the past two months.
