Two to be prosecuted for incident that resulted in Misbah Abdullah

The case against two people for the vehicular assault that resulted in the death of Police Corporal Misbah Abdullah of Naseemee Villa, Baa Hithaadhoo, has been sent to the Prosecutor General’s Office.

The suspects are Hussain Afeef, 27, of Araamge, Shaviyani Foakaidhoo; and Hussain Abdullah, 21, of Maadhuni, Gaafu Dhaalu Thinadhoo.

At the time of the incident, Hussain Afeef was driving the motorcycle while Hussain Abdullah was on the backseat.

The accident took place at around 4:00 am on 2 June 2013.

Misbah died while being treated for the injuries he sustained when the motorcycle drove into him on purpose.

Misbah was a Constable when he passed away, and Maldives Police changed his rank to Corporal and decided to give relevant allowances to his family following his death.
