Prepared to participate in debate with presidential candidates: President

President Dr Mohamed Waheed has said that he is prepared to participate in the debate with the upcoming presidential election candidates.

The president said this while talking to reporters, in response to a question posed by Sun Online, prior to departing to Addu today.

The president said that the purpose of this trip is to participate in the Prize Day ceremony of Hithadhoo’s Sharafuddheen School.

He said that his speech tonight would include details of his government’s education policy.

The president will conclude the trip and return to Male’ tonight.

Maldives Broadcasting Corporation (MBC) has announced that the debate between the four presidential candidates will be held on 1 September.
