MD of Fenaka Corporation Nimal dismissed

Mohamed Nimal has been dismissed from the post of Managing Director of Fenaka Corporation.

President of the Privatisation Board Mohamed Amjad told Sun Online that Nimal was dismissed following complaints that he had misused his authority as MD to hire people to various posts of the company.

“Subsequent to being informed of this, we have notified him of his dismissal. The post of MD has not been filled yet,” he said.

It has not been possible to obtain Nimal’s comment on this matter.

Council Member of the Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM), Mohamed Nimal was appointed as MD of Fenaka Corporation on 18 June 2012.

Fenaka Corporation is a company owned one hundred percent by the government, established to ensure water, sewerage, waste management and electricity services to all islands other than Male’.

Fenaka Corporation was established in June 2012 by presidential decree, as per Article 95 of the Companies Act.
