Education Minister Dr. Asim wins award by World Education Congress

Maldives Minister of Education Dr. Asim Ahmed has received the Award for Outstanding Contribution to Education by the World Education Congress.

A statement by the Ministry of Education today stated that the award was presented to Dr. Asim at the World Education Congress 2013 held on the 28th and 29th June in Mumbai, India.

The Award for Outstanding Contribution to Education, awarded at the annual World Education Congress each year, serves to recognize personalities who have made a considerable contribution to the field of education.

Award judges and the Council of the World Education Congress decides the criteria for the award.

Dr. Asim also gave a keynote speech at the World Education Congress this year.
