The Criminal Court has ordered to detain Azlif Raoof of H. Hilton and two others suspected of having been involved in the planning of the murder of former Ungoofaaru MP, Dr Afrasheem Ali, until the trial is over.
Media Official of the Criminal Court Ahmed Mohamed Manik said that the other two people involved in this case are Mohamed Hamid, Niraaku, Seenu Meedhoo; and Ubaidhullah Saeed, Autumn Vaadhee, Haa Alifu Dhidhdhoo.
He said that the court extended the detention period of the three people until the end of the trial of a case accusing these three people of intimidating two people on multiple occasions to obtain money owed by them to a group, seizing a motorcycle and assaulting them, and forcing them to be present at certain locations and threatening to cause damage to their property.
It is not yet known if the case has been sent to the Prosecutor General’s Office.
