I have not left PPM: MP Mahloof

Galolhu-South MP Ahmed Mahloof has denied recent claims that he has left his party, Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM).

In a tweet by Mahloof today, he stated: “I would like to say, for everybody's general information, I have not left PPM."

Additional details regarding his tweet could not be obtained as he is not answering phone calls.

Mahloof recently sent a SMS to major media outlets announcing his resignation as spokesperson of the party. He has been unavailable for comment since.

At a recent press conference by PPM, party member and Vili-Maafannu MP Ahmed Nihan Hussain Manik had said that Mahloof will not leave PPM and that he will always remain with the party.
