Number of beer cans found in the sea reaches 14,000

The police have said that over 14,000 cans of beer have been removed from the sea near Male’ since yesterday.

The police said that efforts are still ongoing to remove the cans, and the number had now reached 14,548.

They said that it is not yet known if the cans came from a boat or a dhoni, as the cans seem to be appearing from the bottom of the sea, and that it is likely that a beer container had sunk.

The police said that they are checking the area surrounding Male’ to remove the cans.

Police investigations are under way to find the person or group responsible for the non-expired beer cans ending up in the sea.
