Memorial wall to be established in honour of police officers who died while on duty

It has been decided to establish a memorial wall at Iskandar Koshi 1 in the honour of police officers who have died while on duty.

The police said that parties that are interested in undertaking this project are welcome to send in applications and obtain more information at Iskandar Building at 10:00 on 4 June.

The police said that financial estimates for the project can be submitted before 6 June.

“Financial estimates [for the establishment of the wall] can only be submitted by parties that obtain information within the time given to do so,” said the police.

Police Constable Misbah Abdulla, 22, Naseemee Villa, Baa Hithaadhoo died on Saturday after being hit by a high-speed motorcycle while on active duty.

Also, Adam Haleem of Kethi, Kaafu Kaashidhoo died on 22 July following a stab attack while on duty.
