-ADK provides information:
14 people were brought to ADK hospital following injuries during the protest. All patients have been sent home after treatment with the exception of three people, one of whom is Reeko Moosa Manik. ADK's Afwaan said that the conditions of the three people currently undergoing treatment are not serious.
-Ga. Atoll Council:
Ga. Kolamaafushi Police Station has been locked up. A Ga. Atoll Council Member said tonight that a Police team has arrived in the island following this incident.
The Atoll Council Member said that attempts were made to attack the Island Council Office and Police Station of Ga. Vilingili, however the group was stopped by members of the public.
Police have cited the hospitals and said that no deaths have been confirmed as a result of the ongoing protest.

A large group of STAR Force Police arrive near ADK. Tear gas has been used to some extent. Crowds at Majeedee magu and Sosun magu crossroad have been dispersed.

The two Police Officers who were injured near ADK were not in their uniforms. One sustained injuries to his arm and the other to his leg. The injuries are not serious.

Aa. Atoll Council Member Mohamed Fahmee said that Rasdhoo and Himandhoo Police Stations have been taken over by members of the public.
Prosecutor General Ahmed Muizzu has warned that steps will be taken against people who damage state and public property. He advised people to refrain from illegal activities.

An official of Prosecutor General's Office has said that windows, computers and files have been damaged in the Prosecutor General's Office located in Addu.

Hdh. Kulhudhuffushi Police station has been attacked and damaged. Two Officers are injured and being treated inside. A group in the area has prevented an ambulance from entering the Police Station. The two Officers are stuck inside.
"MDP supporters have gathered near Kulhudhuffushi Police Station and are throwing stones at the building. They won't allow the ambulance to go in. A prison security official said that Maafushi Prison is currently under the control of prison security institution DPRS. Several groups tried to create unrest. No inmate left their cells. DPRS has full control of the prison.
MNDF begins guarding all TV stations, following rumors that attacks are being planned on Raajje TV, TVM, VTV and DhiTV.
Sun Reporters who visited Moosa have informed that his condition is fine and that he is slighly able to talk now.
Two people have been taken to MDP Haruge in Police vehicles. About four people inside MDP Haruge are being questioned.
It looks like Police are searching for something inside MDP Haruge.

Maldives Media Council:
Maldives Media Council has condemned the actions of security forces during today's protest, indicating that they used force on journalists who tried to cover the events of the protest. Journalists have suffered injuries of various degrees. The Council also condemned cutting of Raajje TV live cable.
Statement by DRP:
Mohamed Nasheed resigned on the afternoon of Tuesday, 7 February 2012, following which a coalition government has been established with Dr Mohamed Waheed Hassan Manik as President. We therefore strongly condemn the crimes conducted on the street today by members of MDP, and their statement that the current government was formed unlawfully.
