Parked van damaged beyond use after being hit by falling tree

A van parked on the street has been damaged beyond use after it was hit by a tree that fell due to bad weather.

No one was hurt in the incident.

An eyewitness told Sun Online that the tree was located in Majeediyya School and that the incident took place at around 18:30. He said that the van’s windows were broken and it was damaged beyond use.

He said that the van was removed from the scene by its owner shortly after the incident.

When Sun reporters arrived, the tree had been removed by Male’ City Council and efforts were under way to clean the area.
