Thasmeen advises against revenge

DRP Leader Ahmed Thasmeen Ali has advised people to refrain from revengeful practices arising from differences in opinions.

In a press release issued by DRP today, Thasmeen said that victory has been attained following the series of protests by opposition groups against the former government’s unlawful actions. He said that the biggest responsibility in this situation is to uphold the values and goals fought for by the opposition groups.

“It is important to refrain from revenge in this situation. Now is the time to unite. All Maldivians should once again work towards one common goal,” Thasmeen said.

He advised all Maldivians to act within the principles of Islam and to priorities peace and harmony in the society.
