Evidence of the use of hash oil found besides liquor in Muleeaage: Police

The Police have said that the belongings of former President Nasheed who resigned today include, in addition to liquor bottles, evidence of the use of hash oil.

“In this drawer you see probable equipment for the use of hash oil,” the Police Media Official said.

These objects were found in a drawer of a desk, which was separate from the desk.

Several of the liquor bottles were packed in boxes stamped with the Maldivian emblem. Some had tags and notes on them indicating that were sent to President Nasheed as gifts from foreign parties.

The Police said that the bottles were discovered by people who handled the trash of Muleeaage following the resignation of Nasheed.

The Official said that further details will be given after the drug enforcement unit investigates the bottles. They did not indicate how many bottles were found.
