President Waheed congratulates Prime Minister of Malaysia

President Dr. Mohamed Waheed Hassan Manik has sent a message of congratulations His Excellency Dato' Sri Haji Mohammad Najib bin Tun Haji Abdul Razak, on his appointment as the Prime Minister of Malaysia.

The President’s message stated that he is honoured to extend his sincere good wishes and congratulation on his own behalf and on behalf of the people of Maldives, on His Excellency’s appointment as the Prime Minister of Malaysia.

“I am ever more confident that under your leadership, the Malaysian people will have a more prosperous society and a more hopeful future. I look forward to working closely with you and the coalition government towards a stronger relationship between our two countries and in addressing our common global challenges.

“I am confident that the friendly relations that exist between our two countries will be further enhanced in the coming years. May I also convey my best wishes for your good health and well-being, as well as for the continued progress and prosperity of the people of Malaysia,” the President’s message read.
