MDP announces party

Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) has announced the party’s new worker’s policy in 21 different islands in the country today.

The policy inauguration ceremony in Male’ was held in the party’s Machangoalhi post, where Mohamed Aslam officiated the ceremony. Speaking at the ceremony, Aslam said that the newly announced MDP worker’s policy includes the strategies for an MDP government to; increase training programs for the development of government employees , avenues to increase employment opportunities, and the efforts needed to ensure the rights of the workers.

The party said that their new policy would produce 34,000 new jobs across the country and that new job centers would be established in different locations to ease the task of finding the right jobs for the seeking individuals.

Today’s event also had a question and answer session regarding the new policy.

MDP’s presidential candidate Mohamed Nasheed inaugurated the party’s workers policy at Gaafu Dhaalu Thinadhoo today. The party has previously announced their mariculture and guest house policy, components of the party’s manifesto.
