MIB launches promotion to process debit cards free of charge

Maldives Islamic Bank (MIB) has launched a promotion to process debit cards for their customers, free of charge.

MIB’s Officer, Sales and Marketing Mohamed Shafau Hassan said today that the promotion will continue until the end of this month, and that the promotion is open for the bank’s existing customers who do not already have a debit card, and the new customers who would like to join MIB.

“We will not charge a joining fee from our customers if they apply through this promotion,” Shafau said.

The bank also issues on-the-spot cash cards, both for existing customers and those who newly join the bank. The difference between the on-the-spot cards would be that they would not include the customer’s name, the bank said.
