Condition of propeller accident victim improving

The family of the man who was recently involved in an accident wherein he hit his head on the propeller of a boat while trying to disentangle a fishing line, has said that his condition is improving.

Nauf Ibrahim, 18, suffered serious injuries to his head and cuts in several places on his body, and is currently being treated in Sri Lanka. The family said that the internal bleeding caused by the head injury had now been controlled.

The victim’s brother said that he is not fully conscious and cannot speak yet. He is, however, aware when others speak.

The accident occurred when Nauf dove into the sea to disentangle a fishing line from Mashhooru boat’s propeller, and hit his head on the propeller when someone other than the captain tried to move the boat backwards.
