DRP calls for applications for parliamentary group positions

Dhivehi Rayyithunge Party (DRP) has called for applications for positions of the party’s parliamentary group positions.

Applications for the party's Parliamentary Group Leader, Deputy Parliamentary Group Leader and parliamentary whips are now open. The party will also elect a member from the parliamentary group to the party’s council vacancies soon.

DRP’s parliamentary group leader position is currently held by the party’s leader Ahmed Thasmeen Ali. Kelaa MP Dr. Abdualla Mausoom holds the position of the party deputy parliamentary group leader and one of the two whips, while Thulusdhoo MP Rozaina Adam holds the other.

Kelaa MP Dr. Abdulla Mausoom told Sun today that the deadline for the applications is set to expire on the 22nd of this month and that election will be held during the party’s general congress.

The party is scheduled to conducts its congress from Tuesday to Thursday next week.
