Sixteen flats given without drawing lots

Sixteen applicants out of those who applied for the 25 housing units in Feydhoo, Addu City, have been given flats without drawing lots.

Mayor of Addu City, Abdullah Sodig told Sun Online that sixteen people were eligible for flats without participating in the drawing of lots because they scored more than 75 points.

He said that the policy on giving flats had been announced earlier, and that the policy states that applicants who get the highest marks will be given flats without drawing lots.

He said that 339 people had applied for the housing units, out of which only sixteen scored more than 75 points.

For the remaining nine units, lots will be drawn among 79 people who scored higher than 65 points, Sodig said.
